As over half a million students across Ghana begin the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) today, Emmanuel Kwami Buahini, a respected educationist and Volta Regional GNAT Treasurer hopeful, has issued a heartfelt message of encouragement and inspiration to all candidates.
In a statement shared early this morning, Buahini congratulated the candidates for reaching this significant milestone in their academic journey. Drawing on Scripture to inspire faith and courage, he quoted Proverbs 21:31 (NIV): “The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the LORD.”
This, he noted, reflects the spiritual and mental preparedness required as students embark on their examinations from June 11 to 18, 2025.
“The beginning of your basic level examination (BECE) is the beginning of your greatness,” he stated. “Know that the LORD is in your boat; with diligence, determination and hard work, you will come out with flying colours.”
Buahini urged candidates to remain calm, read instructions carefully, and write with confidence. He assured them that they are not alone and encouraged them to rely on their preparation and the divine support of the Holy Spirit, referencing John 14:26 (NIV): “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”
Beyond the students, Buahini extended his sincere appreciation to the teachers and facilitators who have guided the candidates throughout their nine-year basic education journey. He lauded their commitment and sacrifices, saying, “May your blessings (rewards) not elude you.”
His message serves not only as encouragement but also as a call for national recognition of the hard work and resilience of both students and educators in the face of numerous challenges within the educational sector.
As the exams begin, the nation watches in hope and prayer for a successful and peaceful examination period.
