The sun shone brightly on the day of the medical screening exercise, organised by the Rotary Club of Accra Ring Road Central in collaboration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana and a team of healthcare professionals. The event was held at the newly built Berekuso Community Clinic and catered to a long queue of enthusiastic individuals who had formed outside the clinic.
The medical team worked efficiently, ensuring each of the nearly 100 clients received a comprehensive screening. The team checked vital signs, conducted blood tests, and provided consultations on various health issues. The clients, ranging from young adults to seniors, were grateful for the opportunity to assess their health.
As the day progressed, the team screened clients one after another, offering guidance on healthy living, disease prevention, and the management of chronic conditions. Many clients were surprised to learn about previously undiagnosed health issues, and the team provided valuable advice on next steps.

The event fostered a sense of community, with clients chatting and supporting one another while waiting for their turn. Members of the Rotary Club of Accra Ring Road Central and healthcare professionals—assisted by the Rotaract Club of Accra Ring Road Central and the Rotaract Club of Ashesi—worked tirelessly, demonstrating their commitment to improving public health.
By the end of the day, nearly 100 clients had received medical screenings, and many had gained valuable insights into their health. The event was deemed a huge success, with plans already underway for future screenings. The community was grateful for the initiative, and the Rotary clubs made a tangible difference in people’s lives.
