President John Dramani Mahama has nominated the 2024 National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Tema Central, Ebi Bright, as the Tema Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) in the Greater Accra Region.
These nominations are in line with Article 243 of the 1992 Constitution and the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), as amended by the Local Governance (Amendment) Act, 2017.
In a related development, Ludwig Totimeh has been appointed as the Municipal Chief Executive for Tema West. Also included in the list of new MCEs are Ella Christine Nongo, nominated for the Adenta Municipal Assembly, and Adamu Musah, appointed as the MCE for Ablekuma North.
The appointments are pending approval by their respective Assemblies.
