A delegation from the Pope John Old Boys Association (POJOBA) Speech Day Committee paid a courtesy call on Prof. Michael Kpessa-Whyte on Thursday, April 17, 2025, to officially invite him as a Special Guest for this year’s Speech and Prize-Giving Day celebration.
The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 14, 2025.
The team, led by the POJOBA National Vice President, also congratulated Prof. Kpessa-Whyte on his recent appointment as Director-General of the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA), expressing confidence in his leadership.
Prof. Kpessa-Whyte, who served as School Prefect in 1996, warmly received the delegation and shared nostalgic memories from his time on campus.
The delegation included Very Rev. Fr. Ohene, current Headmaster of Pope John Senior High School and Minor Seminary; Joseph Oliver Bowers, POJOBA National Secretary; Richard Fumey, Chairman of the POJOBA 1999 Year Group; and Eric Owusu Nyarko, Esq, Chairman of the POJOBA 99 Anniversary Committee.
