President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Professor Anthony Owusu-Ansah as the Acting Executive Secretary of the Lands Commission.
The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was made in accordance with Article 195(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 24(1) of the Lands Commission Act, 2008 (Act 767).
The development was officially communicated through a letter dated April 14, 2025, signed by the Secretary to the President, Dr. Callistus Mahama.
According to the letter, the appointment is subject to the constitutionally required advice of the Lands Commission, given in consultation with the Public Services Commission.
“The President has extended his congratulations to Prof. Owusu-Ansah on his new role,” the letter stated, adding that he is expected to confirm his acceptance of the appointment within seven days of receiving the communication.
