The Tema East Constituency, under the leadership of their Member of Parliament Isaac Ashai Odamtten on Saturday, 25th January 2025 came together to host a memorable victory thanksgiving service. The event served as a platform to worship, praise, and express gratitude to the Lord for the constituency’s resounding victory in the 2024 parliamentary elections.
The thanksgiving service was attended by a diverse group of supporters, party faithful, constituents, opinion leaders, and notable clergymen. The gathering reflected a sense of unity and appreciation among the constituents for the successful election campaign and subsequent victory.
Mr Ashai Odamtten, in his remarks, expressed profound gratitude to God for granting them favour and victory in the elections. He acknowledged the support of the constituency and reiterated his commitment to serving the people of Tema East with dedication and humility.
In an emotional address during the thanksgiving service, he expressed profound gratitude to God, the constituents, and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) party for their unwavering support and sacrifice throughout the election campaign. Speaking with humility and sincerity, he said:
“For some, you spent your money at every point in this journey. We say thank you. And for my party executives, from the constituency through the wards to the branches and all members, I know we have come this far because of the love you have for the party, the love you have for Tema East, and the love you have for H.E. John Dramani Mahama. I promise to be there for you at all times.”
He also highlighted the importance of the work ahead, pledging to deliver on the mandate entrusted to him by the people of Tema East. Hon. Odamtten affirmed:
“Beyond this victory, there is work. I assure you that we’ll continue to pursue the things that will make our constituency better than it is today. We will stand as a true representative of the people of Tema East in the Parliament of Ghana. Wherever there are jobs and whatever we should do to expand the opportunities that will come for our young ones and our local economy players, we shall pursue them. God be my helper.”
The thanksgiving service not only marked a moment of celebration but also underscored the importance of faith, unity, and collective effort in achieving success. It was a joyous occasion that brought the Tema East community together in gratitude and anticipation of the development initiatives to come under Hon. Ashai Odamtten’s leadership.
