The Coalition of Youth Groups in Awutu Senya West has made a passionate appeal to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) leadership to appoint Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui as a minister. This call is in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the party and her tireless efforts in developing the Awutu Senya West constituency.
In a letter signed by Godwin Aziz Agyeman, General Secretary of the coalition, the group praised the MP’s exceptional leadership, which has transformed the constituency. Her remarkable achievement of breaking the historical one-term cycle in Awutu Senya West since 1992 is a testament to her dedication and strategic leadership.
The group noted that her appointment would not only be a well-deserved recognition of her hard work but also a demonstration of the party’s commitment to empowering women leaders. As a trailblazing woman leader, Mrs Tetteh-Agbotui embodies the values of equity, inclusivity, and empowerment that the NDC proudly upholds.
The appeal also referenced a promise made by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama during his campaign in Awutu Senya West, where he assured the constituents that she would be considered for a ministerial appointment. The group emphasized that fulfilling this promise would be a source of hope and trust for the constituents.
Mrs. Tetteh-Agbotui’s proven track record in public service, her unwavering commitment to the NDC’s vision, and her ability to deliver impactful results make her an exemplary candidate for a ministerial position. Her appointment would serve as a testament to the party’s dedication to rewarding competence, resilience, and service to the people.
The appeal has been endorsed by several youth groups, including Gizi Ladies, Vibrant Ladies, NDC Third Eye Action Youth, Allakidaa Movement, Breaker Youth, Eagle Ladies, Fans of Gizi, and Agents of NDC. These groups have expressed their confidence in Mrs Tetteh-Agbotui’s ability to deliver and have urged the NDC leadership to consider her appointment.
