The Incumbent Member of Parliament for Techiman South, Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah has successfully retained his parliamentary seat following a court-mandated collation of results at the Electoral Commission’s (EC) regional office in Accra.
Mr Korsah garnered 46,663 votes, defeating the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, Christopher Bayere Basongti, who secured 43,429 votes.
The declaration follows a directive from the High Court in Accra, which ordered the EC to conclude outstanding collation processes in multiple constituencies, including Okaikwei Central, Tema Central, Ablekuma North, and Techiman South. The ruling was issued after NPP candidates filed mandamus applications to prompt transparency and ensure the finalization of results.
