Preparations are in full swing for the final mega rallies of Ghana’s two leading political parties, the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The NPP rally will be held at the University of Ghana Sports Park, while the NDC’s gathering is set for Zurak Park in Madina. Both events are expected to draw large crowds, with intensified security measures in place.

The Ghana Police Service has already deployed two helicopters for aerial surveillance and implemented a number of traffic diversions to ease congestion and prevent potential clashes between supporters of the two parties.

Flagbearers of both parties, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia of the NPP and John Dramani Mahama of the NDC will deliver their final campaign messages aimed at energizing the support base of their parties ahead of the December 7 elections.
