Ghana’s mobile telecommunications giant, MTN, has successfully concluded its weeklong Sustainability Week initiative, which primarily focused on the company’s commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices and sustainability.

She further elaborated on MTN’s commitment to bridging the digital divide and furthering financial inclusion to support the attainment of the goals.
The Deputy Director and Advisor of the SDG Advisory Unit at the Office of the President, Dr. Felix Addo-Yobo, emphasized humanity’s duty to protect nature. He stressed that deliberate actions are necessary to preserve the ocean, land, and nature, as humanity would suffer if these ecosystems were destroyed.
In her remarks, Mina Pokuaa Agyemang, Participant Engagement and Outreach Manager of the UN Global Compact-Ghana encouraged businesses to integrate sustainability into their operations. According to her, incorporating sustainability demonstrates a commitment to responsible business practices, including staff welfare and fair wages. She highlighted the benefits for businesses that embrace sustainability and invited interested businesses to submit letters of commitment.
