Former President John Dramani Mahama has called on Ghanaians to work towards a peaceful general election in 2024, free from any incidents of violence or disturbances.
During a visit to the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharabutu, the NDC 2024 Flagbearer expressed his gratitude for the Chief Imam’s continuous prayers for him and the NDC. Despite his age, Sheikh Sharabutu is reported to be in good health.
In a Facebook post, Mahama shared, “I had another opportunity to visit my father, the National Chief Imam, after the Eid-Ul-Adha celebration to exchange greetings and check his health. We thank Allah for his good health. I thanked him for his continued prayers for my party, the NDC, and me.”

As the December election approaches, Mahama requested ongoing prayers for a peaceful and prosperous Ghana. He urged all Ghanaians to work towards a peaceful election, emphasizing the importance of avoiding violence and disturbances.

“As we approach the December election, I asked for his continued prayers for a peaceful and prosperous Ghana. Let us all work towards a peaceful election without any violence or disturbances. May Ghana prosper, and the NDC emerge victorious in the presidential and parliamentary elections. Together, we can and will build the Ghana that we want.”
