Former Chairman and Parliamentary aspirant for the Ofoase-Ayirebi Constituency NDC, Joshua Asumeng Badu, visited several voter ID registration centres to monitor the ongoing enrolment of new voters onto the electoral register ahead of the December 7th General Elections.
The visit, which began on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, is part of efforts to ignite civic participation and emphasize the importance of the upcoming elections. Mr Badu, who is also a former Assemblyman, is part of the 2024 Eastern Regional NDC registration monitoring team, supervising the Akim Oda and Ofoase/Ayirebi Constituencies.

As a native of Akim Ofoase, the district capital of the Akyemansa District, and a businessman, Mr Badu’s visit aimed to encourage residents to register and make their voices heard during the upcoming elections by voting for the NDC, John Dramani Mahama, and the party’s Parliamentary Candidate Alfred Osei-Poku in the 2024 General Elections.

Accompanied by constituency officials Shamona Seraje (Constituency Communication Officer), Prince Amaede (Constituency Deputy Organizer), and Aviel Asamoah (Akokoaso Branch Coordinator), Mr Badu made his first stop at the district electoral commission office. He engaged prospective registrants, encouraging them to participate in the electoral process.

He also applauded the Electoral Commission for the efficient work done so far, highlighting the importance of maintaining a smooth and transparent registration process.
