NSS pays January 2024 allowance to all personnel

The National Service Scheme (NSS) has announced the disbursement of the January 2024 allowance to all personnel.

In a statement signed by Armstrong Essah, the Director of Corporate Affairs, dated April 5, 2024, the NSS assured that all eligible personnel would receive their allowances via E-Zwich at their respective local banks nationwide.

Furthermore, the statement confirmed that the allowance for February and March 2024 has already been processed and will be disbursed soon.

Expressing appreciation to the personnel for their patience amidst delays in arrears payment, the Scheme acknowledged that only three out of the five outstanding months have been settled thus far.

Previously, there were murmurs among the personnel regarding a potential strike action to demand the prompt payment of their allowances, which serve as their primary source of income.
