Multiple award-winning dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy and songstress Wiyaala are expected to headline performances at the closing ceremony of the African Games, slated for Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
Since the commencement of the African Games in Accra on March 8, 2024, the event has been nothing short of exceptional. Welcoming representatives from 52 nations, this unique showcase, themed “Experience the African Dream,” has been a celebration of diverse cultures, fostering social interactions that have left indelible memories.
Among the highlights of the closing ceremony will be electrifying performances by renowned artists such as Cameroon’s Stanley Enow, DR Congo’s Innoss’B, and Gabon’s Emma’a, who will join Stonebwoy and Wiyaala in thrilling the audience.
Ghana’s performance in the games has been commendable, having amassed a total of 49 medals thus far.
Egypt is poised to secure the top spot on the medal table, boasting a remarkable tally of 187 medals, including 99 gold, 46 silver, and 42 bronze. Trailing behind Egypt is Nigeria, holding onto the second position with a total of 121 medals, although only 47 of them are gold.
Continuing down the rankings, South Africa holds strong with 106 medals, followed closely by Algeria with 114 medals, and Tunisia with 86 medals.
