Praiseworthy Medical Centre begins operations in Alogboshie, Achimota, as residents jump for joy

The Chief of Alogboshie, a town in Achimota, NII Emmanuel Kumah, has praised the founders of a newly inaugurated hospital, Praiseworthy Medical Centre, for providing his people with a medical facility.

The medical centre, founded by relatives, is expected to serve the needs of the community and those from outside it, at a subsidized rate.

Speaking at the event as the guest Nii Emmanuel Kumah, said the presence of the medical centre has come at a good time, because of the important needs it will serve to the people in the community. In a speech read on his behalf, he said residents had had to struggle to access healthcare at Achimota, and that had not come without financial cost to them, as well as convenience.

He said though the initial plan of the founders was to build a mall in the community, they accepted his appeal for them to give the clinic a hospital.

“Before us today is a modern hospital with modern facilities to match, “he said. Whilst praising the founders behind the medical centre, he revealed that he has already received care from the personnel and praised them for their professionalism.

“I have received medical care in this facility several times already, and I would like to recommend this hospital to all and sundry for your health problems.”

Nii Kumah also appealed to the staff to continue with the humane manner they are treating patients.

“My appeal to Praise-Worthy Medical Centre is that no matter the success they may achieve in the future, they should remain the Praise-Worthy that I know,” he added.

Prior to the official opening, the facility delivered its first baby, and the mother received the best of care, during the delivery period.

A member of the board of directors of the medical facility, Alhaji Yusif Shakibu, said the facility is their way of paying back the very community that has been good to them, and their relatives.

He said the board will ensure the facility is put to good use, and maintained right, for the now and the future.

The medical facility conducted a free breast cancer exercise for the women available.
