Michael Okyere Baafi: New Juaben South MP boosts security with construction of ultra-modern police post near KTU

Michael Okyere Baafi, the Member of Parliament for New Juaben South Constituency, has taken a proactive stance on enhancing security by constructing a state-of-the-art police post strategically located opposite the Koforidua Technical University (KTU).

The unveiling of this advanced police post reflects a decisive effort to address the prevailing security concerns that have plagued the surrounding area.

By establishing this modern police post, Mr Baafi has demonstrated his commitment to resolving persistent insecurity issues. The implementation of this initiative aims to combat distressing incidents where students have fallen prey to unidentified attackers during the evening hours after attending their lectures.

Having successfully completed the project, the eagerly awaited inauguration ceremony is poised to take place, with the participation of both the MP and the Municipal Chief Executive of the area.

This well-positioned police post is strategically poised not only to cater to the security requirements of the educational institution but also to extend its protective coverage to the neighbouring community.

The launch of this initiative holds the promise of alleviating the longstanding security challenges that have beset the constituency for years.

During the past weekend, Mr Baafi, who also doubles as a Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, provided a guided tour of the newly established police post to a group of journalists. During this tour, he underscored the significance of the project, emphasizing it as a notable achievement during his inaugural term as an MP.

Expanding on his commitment to his constituents, Mr Baafi unveiled upcoming initiatives, including the construction of new hospital facilities and the development of an astroturf.

These projects are envisaged to further enhance the overall quality of life for the residents he diligently serves.
