The colourful ceremony, attended by various religious groups and the foreign community in the town, was graced with a lovely cultural and choral performance on Saturday, July 29, 2023.

In his address, the chief pointed to the recent Kpledo festival celebration as a shining example of the positive impact that comes when a community stands united.

“Prampram is a beautiful town and there are good things that should come to us but because we were fragmented in the past, those developmental programs have so far eluded us,” he said.

Flanked by the Queen-mother of the Traditional Area Naa Osabu Abbey I, who was looking colourful in a multiplicity of bright kente colours, Nene Wakah III said, the same unity of purpose will inure to the benefit of the Homowo 2023.

Later in an interview with PramcitiTV, the Youtube channel based in Prampram, some of the residents were confident that this year’s Homowo will be unique and patronised.
