The story is out there. The Ghanaian Public is right to ask questions about the source of this colossal amount of cash both in international and local currencies.
Cecilia Dapaah is a public figure. A Minister of State in charge of Sanitation and Water Resources in our Republic.
She receives her salaries, allowances, medicals, and security protection from the sweat and toil of the taxpayer. Therefore, it is appropriate and rational on the part of Ghanaians to ask all the relevant questions including calling on her to resign or be sacked by the President.
I am not passing any judgment on the substantive matter which is before a court of competent jurisdiction, where the accused persons are facing the court for stealing.
I am an adherent of the principles of natural justice: Fair hearing and not being a judge in one’s cause.
That can be attributed to the persons facing the law.
But the calls on her, Madam C Dapaah for disclosure of those currencies as a public figure is apt, for her resignation or the President to axe her from his Government and also to ask the Special Prosecutor to do the needful as he did in the case of former Minister of State at the Ministry of Finance, Adu Boahene.
She is a leading member of my party but this is not a party matter at all, it is about our beloved country which is anatomical bleeding and must be salvaged by all irrespective of party affiliation.
To all public or political office holders, this should be a warning to you. God is watching all.
God is not anybody’s hometown, God.
He is a perfect one and He knows what is hidden or apparent.
Madam, your terse reaction to the inconsistencies or otherwise is bogus, sickening, and indefensible.
Ghana deserves better.
This is for Ghana, not any political party.
I am for Ghana!
Ahmed
