The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) is set to continue the vetting process for its presidential aspirants who are seeking to lead the party in the 2024 elections.
Among the aspirants scheduled for vetting today, Tuesday, July 4, 2023, are Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central; Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko, former Energy Minister; and Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, a former NPP General Secretary.
On the first day of the vetting on Monday, July 3, the vice president, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, a former Minister of Trade, and businessman Kwadwo Poku appeared before the presidential vetting committee.
On Wednesday, other aspirants to be vetted include Joe Ghartey, a former Attorney General and Minister of Justice; Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto, a former Minister of Agriculture; and Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku, a former Member of Parliament for Offinso North. While Francis Addai Nimoh, a former MP appears on Thursday.
