A viral video of President Akufo-Addo angrily gesticulating to the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Henry Quartey and ordering him has caused a stir on social media.
The video captures the president in a moment of intense emotion during the Green Ghana Day tree-planting exercise which took place at the University of Ghana on Friday, June 9, 2023.
In the footage, President Akufo-Addo appears visibly provoked as he directs Mr Quartey, to take immediate action at the end of the recitation of the national anthem.
Sources say a chief in attendance at the event was seated while the anthem was being played, which angered the President. Consequently, he forcefully instructed Henry Quartey to address the situation and bring the chief to order.
