In his address, Mr Osafo-Maafo stressed the importance of revitalizing the agricultural sector by implementing measures to attract youth involvement and profitability. He advocated for diversification away from commodity reliance towards cultivating vegetables and flowers, along with the establishment of land banks.

Regarding unemployment, Osafo-Maafo called for enhanced collaboration between the public and private sectors to stimulate economic growth and job creation. He noted past reform efforts’ limitations in leveraging the private sector’s potential for job creation due to a lack of alignment with key economic sectors.
